YEAR IN REVIEW: 2025

YEAR IN REVIEW

In 2025, the Arts & Nature Social Club (ANSC) strengthened its position as a leading interdisciplinary platform connecting art, nature, science, and societal transformation.

Futures were not only discussed but felt. Through a carefully curated program of salons, supper clubs, art tours, and high-level collaborations, we fostered dialogue, experiential learning, and community building across Berlin, Hamburg, and Munich. We invited our community into moments of pause — moments in which a dialogue could take place without hierarchy. The year unfolded as a series of encounters: attentive, curious, and deliberately slow.

Key highlights included:

  • A strong focus on art–science intersections, future narratives, and sustainable urban development
  • Expansion through the inauguration of the Hamburg chapter
  • Exploratory dinner to develop a Munich chapter
  • Deepened institutional partnerships, most notably with the Club of Rome
  • Growth of experiential and sensory formats, particularly supper clubs and immersive art encounters
  • The launch of the ANSC Inspiration Awards, recognizing visionary impact at the nexus of arts and sustainability

Overall, 2025 marked a year of consolidation, qualitative growth, and increased visibility, reinforcing ANSC’s role as a trusted convenor for future-oriented cultural discourse.

A Year in Resonance

2025 was a year in which the Arts & Nature Social Club invited its community not only to think about the future — but to sense, imagine, and experience it.

Across salons, dinners, exhibitions, and walks through cities and landscapes, we created spaces where art spoke with science, where food became a medium of reflection, and where cities, ecologies, and human relationships were reimagined together. Molecular scientists and painters, urban designers and photographers, filmmakers, educators, and activists met on equal ground — united by curiosity and responsibility.

From Berlin studios and galleries to Brandenburg’s countryside and Hamburg’s immersive spaces of darkness, we explored how trust is built, how futures are narrated, and how creativity can become a regenerative force. Supper clubs transformed conversations into shared rituals, while art tours and exhibitions sharpened collective perception of inequality, biodiversity, and climate change.

With the inauguration of a new chapter in Hamburg and the first ANSC Inspiration Awards, 2025 also celebrated community — those who dare to envision, to connect, and to act. In a time defined by complexity, we offered something rare: clarity through culture, depth through dialogue, and hope through shared imagination.

Supper Clubs
Supper clubs became an important format in 2025, combining curated dinners, scientific, artistic, and cultural impulses, and facilitated conversation in intimate settings. Topics ranged from future chemistry and neuro-gastronomy to natural and built environments, while also serving as welcoming formats for new members and chapter launches.

Art Tours & Cultural Experiences
Guided tours of the 13th Berlin Biennale of Contemporary Art, gallery walkthroughs and artist talks focused on climate, migration, biodiversity, and human–nature relations, as well as theatre and music partner events addressing climate change and societal transformation.

Partnerships

Partnerships & Collaborative Ecosystem

In 2025, partnerships were not add-ons to the program — they were integral to how we worked. We continually explored collaborations based on aligned values rather than fixed formats.

A cornerstone of this ecosystem was the ongoing collaboration with the German Association for the Club of Rome. A flagship event was the joint Club of Rome Salon: “Building the City of the Future” , which positioned ANSC within international sustainability and policy discourse and explored cities as engines of transformation.

Data Space Berlin served as an important partner and venue for future-oriented conversations. As a place dedicated to innovation, learning, and systemic transformation, it provided a fitting environment for salons addressing sustainable futures, visual storytelling, and education. With the Creative Leadership Salon, ANSC deepened its engagement with questions of creativity, responsibility, and leadership in times of transformation.

Across all partnerships, a shared understanding prevailed: that meaningful transformation emerges where disciplines meet, perspectives overlap, and trust is built over time.

International and cross-sector perspectives were strengthened through collaborations with organizations such as Fulbright Germany, TTI – Top Tier Impact, and Solstice Projects, supporting dialogues that connected global outlooks with local cultural contexts.

Cooperations with Deutsches Kammerorchester Berlin, Dialoghaus Hamburg, and Wort & Herzschlag expanded our engagement with embodied experience, music, theatre, and reflection on climate and society.

And last but not least, media partnerships have helped us to further spread the word while highlighting the importance of our message: Table.Briefings, forum future economy, and Haus von Eden.
